Yask is an operations agent for field based teams. You can think of it as a chief of staff for your entire organization. Yask knows your business, your people, your products and even your lingo.
It acts as an orchestrator, enabling your team to easily document issues, information, and important context about your customers. Our platform then routes that information to the most relevant person in your organization and ensures that they see it at the right moment.
Yask constantly grows its knowledge based on daily interactions with the platform and becomes more customized for your organization and each of your team's roles.
What does "field ops agent" mean?
Field ops is the everyday work of keeping a physical-world business running.
An agent is software your team talks to like a coworker: it takes what they say, decides what needs to be done, where, when and by whom, delivers the task, and follows up on its own until the work is done. It learns more the more it is used.
Who is Yask for?
Yask is purpose built for teams that rely on an on-the-ground, in-the-field presence to do business. These teams are typically responsible for selling, delivering and servicing a product and have to collaborate to ensure that they maintain customer relationships.
While we are currently exploring several use cases, people typically find Yask most valuable if they 1) have multiple team members who need to collaborate and 2) have distinct locations where work needs to be done.
What problem does it solve?
People on the floor notice things constantly. Acting on any one of them is a job in itself: decide the fix, choose who to tell, judge whether it is worth the interruption, word it right, then chase whether it ever happened.
So most observations get deferred or dropped.
What does Yask actually do, step by step?
Four steps. Observation: your team flags it in their own words. Reasoning: Yask deciphers it and builds the right task. Handoff: the task lands with the right person, right when it matters. Loop closed: when the task gets done, the person who raised it is notified.
How it works
How does someone actually use it?
They say what they saw, in their own words. No forms, no categories, no deciding who to route it to.
The example the team demos: "Ridgeline endcap needs to get built at Casey’s asap." Yask catches the urgency, resolves which Casey’s, works out who runs that route, creates the task and notifies them.
Does the person who flagged it hear back?
Yes. When the task is marked done, whoever raised it is notified.
That confirmation is what builds the habit: people see that speaking up works.
What happens if a task stalls?
Yask finds out why, then decides the next move: reassign it, or raise it to a manager. Past due tasks get a nudge, and every task keeps its own activity log.
Is Yask location aware?
Yes. When a member of your team arrives at a location, Yask detects that location and presents the tasks and relevant information for that location.
Can the team ask it questions about our own data?
Yes. Yask can be integrated with your ERP, so your team can ask questions about sales or inventory in plain language and get a straightforward answer. Teams use this to formulate sales strategies, talking points and more.
Does it remember what happened before?
Yes. Yask remembers what happened, where, who did it and how long it took, and gets better with use.
Fit, and how we compare
Do we have to replace our ERP to use Yask?
No. Yask works alongside the systems you already run.
Integrating with an ERP or existing company data creates a richer experience from the start. Yask's functionality will work for any team, though, regardless of technical complexity.
How is this different from a task management tool?
Task managers assign, track and verify work that a person has already defined and pushed.
Yask infers the task from a plain-language observation, routes it, and follows through. It can do that because it is provisioned with your locations, routes, roles, priorities and jargon from day one.
How is this different from a comms tool or a group chat?
Yask ensures that the right people see the most relevant information at the most actionable time. Yask also drives accountability, ensuring that the most important things get completed, and follows up if a task is unresolved.
Yask takes care of the cognitive load of tasking: creating a task, ensuring that the right context is captured, assigning it to the right person. This enables your team to document what is in front of them and be confident it will get handled.
How is this different from an ERP with an AI layer on top?
An ERP with an AI layer gives the back office executive visibility. Yask captures insight in the field, at the moment someone notices something, and turns it into tracked work.
